January Roundup
It's the end of the month! Let's recap.
Since beginning this Substack, I've committed to documenting and reflecting on what moves me—whether banal or serendipidous, the smallest moments carry unexpected weight. This weekend I came home, and I'm currently nestled in my town's café: cold brew, avocado toast, laptop open in the familiar ritual of trying to be productive. January 2026 will lodge in memory as the month of relentless snow and cold. I genuinely cannot recall the last time I felt warm. Last weekend's storm dumped more snow on New York City than it had seen in years, yet one certainty about NYC remains: New Yorkers will always transform any adversity into a reason to come together as a community. We've endured sub-freezing temperatures for a solid week now. Here's to hoping February brings some light at the end of this cold, dark tunnel.
